My Plan to Retake My 710 GMAT

“GrantMeAdmission you got a 710, and you are retaking the GMAT? What’s the Plan?!?!”
I have a plan, and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
“If you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”
- CRAZY STUDY MODE – This is the crazy mode I entered when I got my 710. It consists of waking up at 5AM, studying for one hour, studying for two hours after work, and then about 20 hours on the weekend. Also, I take cold showers (great TED talk), don’t drink alcohol, compete with “myself from last week” and go on short runs (boost oxygen to the brain). If you want the best, you must be YOUR best.
- The Economist Score Guarantee – I am taking advantage of the Economist‘s GMAT Tutor’s offer of +50 points or your money back. There are some contract stipulations, but I was able to score a great 15% discount with a quick google search. I will also continue using Magoosh (who also offers a guarantee now), gmatclub tests (great new analytics engine), and my Manhattan books.
- 10 Weeks of Craziness – I will be studying for at least 10 weeks (aiming to take it August 24, 2014) due to the contract stipulations of The Economist GMAT Tutor. In 10 weeks I have to put in 150 hours of studying (Kaplan states 100 hours = 10 points). My goal is to get at least a 740, if not higher.
- Watch Motivational Videos – I can’t emphasize how much these help. Here are some to get you started: How Bad Do You Want To Succeed? ; Schwarzeneggar’s Six Secrets to Success ; Will Smith’s Secrets to Success.
I will start featuring some cool GMAT tricks over the next few days (also don’t forget to check out my guide).
I would love to hear your thoughts, ideas, and/or tips.

Good luck man! Were in the same fight. What do you think of magoosh?
I mean I really like Magoosh. They were the ones that got me to a 710. I know that have really improved the program since last year, and they now offer a guarantee (based off of a previous GMAT)
Like, wow! Your dedication is fantastic. I am going to to try and emulate you!
